This is an idea that we tried to prototype in 2019. TODO: picture And will try again in 2020.
We've done pretty well with purely paper-based scouting. Now one of our programmers has written a web-based scouting application. Scouting subteam members can enter data using a laptop or phone. Ideally, we'll have 6 data-entry stations (laptop/phone) and one more for data analysis and output.
There's just one problem: cellphone networks are spotty at competition, and there's often no decent public wifi.
The solution: a private network-in-a-box all our own.
